Panhandle Gamers V14 Announced
Flyer will be posted here soon!
Panhandle Gamers 14th event since 2006. A mixture of LAN Party and techno rave would best describe this epic upcoming event! Event is open to the public and students, spectators are welcome! This is a BYOC (Bring your own computer/console) event. This event is taking place at the University Of West Florida!
Price: $5 to anyone who can produce a nautilus card (Student), $10 for non students, this is our cheapest event ever, and will be the best by far, proceeds will be going to relay for life!
We have teamed up with the Video Gamers Alliance Club to host this event, without them this event would not be happening!
More information will be posted in coming days, as we begin to confirm sponsors, etc.
Hope everyone is having a good winter time with the holidays and a little break from it all, minus the coldness.
Enthusiasm and activity in the LAN party is at an all time LOW, so we have a lot of issues to work out should we proceed to exist. Our LAN center is still on the rocks as we still don't have the capital to start and investors do not exist.
I am, and will, in the coming months, possibly in April, throw a big LAN party, we will go out with a bang without the need for fireworks or guns, I'm working alongside with the University Of West Florida Video Gamers Alliance Club who supports the LAN'ing scene. Please stay tuned, as a date may be released soon when our next event will take place.
Stay safe, and most of all stay warm, Grant Corbin Founder/Panhandle Gamers

Steelseries is sending headsets to give away, BAWLS will be for sale, and the first 70 people to come will receive a free copy of CPU Magazine and also a free 6 month subscription coupon inside. These are just a few things that will be happening, be there this Saturday October 10th 2009 at the Pensacola Civic Center!
Panhandle Gamers will be hosting a "no frills" LAN Party on SATURDAY OCTOBER 10TH 2009 at the Pensacola Civic Center! Event opens at 9AM and lasts all day long, there will be tournaments for various games (more info will be posted soon on those, including TIMES), lots of BAWLS, possibility of SnoBawls being served at this event too!
Event will be open to console and PC gaming. Entry fee $20 for either, spectating is free.
As many of you know the popular LAN Center in Pensacola closed down back in June, we're wanting to resurrect the gaming scene in Pensacola by opening up our own LAN Center (in addition to our lan parties that we throw several times a year), we've already lined up licensing agreements, we've priced everything out and have consulted with several industry leaders, we know we'd do fine if we opened one up, we wouldn't be rich by any stretch of the imagination however we would be doing the community, the gaming community, a service.
We want to expand technology in the area, and or region. We have one problem, money. We need money for initial start up costs to cover computers, small renovations, and other costs associated with starting a business. Currently we have hit a dead end in locating any investors, and of course no bank will loan money to a start-up business, we have a full business plan available should anyone out there want to assist, if you want to help finance the beginning of a great business in Pensacola, please do let us know! You can contact Grant Corbin at Admin@PanhandleGamers.com
Due to some class taking place on the Friday of our event, we will not have access to the room until about 2PM CST, which means we probably won't be setup and able to take people in until about 4:00PM. So get some more sleep before heading over!
We have acquired many sponsors who of course support the gaming scene and without them our events would be as great as they have been. We'll have lots of giveaways, door prizes, etc. New products demonstrated.
A few of our confirmed sponsors: -In-Win -Cooler Master -Velocity Micro -BFG Tech -Bawls

A little late, but it explains our events very well, a great event it was, the price of the venue, not so great though! Special thanks to CJW for the video footage!
